1. Many Asian men and women have an inferiority complex, self hate, and White worship towards Caucasians. This is why Asian women more easily accept propositions from dorky White guys who are bald, old, fat, wimpy, homely-looking, or social rejects from their home country. It doesn't take a genius to realize that these disproportionately attractive pairs are because being 'White' gives the guy points in the minds of some Asians. Also, many brainwashed Uncle Tom Asians will say or do *anything*, including bash their own culture or opposite gendered people of the same ethnicity, in order to fuel the ego of their White Trophy. White worship and inferiority complex is also the reason why Asian men are more shy and less confident approaching White women.

2. Look at the tons of ads, commercials, movies, fashion mags, mall posters that feature and glamorize and 'brand' White people as the prettiest, best, etc. Then look at how many Asians try to surgically enlarge their eyes to look more Caucasian (the #1 surgery among Asian women in Asia), or the growing number of Asian girls who dye their hair blond and wear blue contacts.

3. While unspoken, many White men secretly know about Asian White worship, and they go to Asia to be social predators leveraging their White skin. Many English teachers in Asia are unqualified teachers, dirty perverts, or social rejects from their home countries, with major superiority complexes and White Knight mentalities in Asia based on the blogs online.

I must say your post is rather shocking to me, though I admit you have your point to a certain degree.

I think you need to take cultural heritage into consideration. For example, modesty (which, if inappropriately displayed, may seem like inferiority complex to a westerner) is still valued here.

Taiwanese people worship not only whites but also Japanese people and Koreans, and these have to do with popular culture, such as TV series.

Also, Americans, Canadians and British people I have met here at school are good teachers. One must give credit to them on that. One of them even became my lifelong friend and mentor. No one I have met in my life compares to him in terms of "charm, erudition, courage and intellectual rigor," borrowing my other friend's words. Of course, I wouldn't say all white people here are admirable. Some of them indeed disgust me, just like some of my country people do too.

When the Ho! eventually gets back up there was an article (which proved to be one of the most popular and most commented upon) entitled something like "White Men, Taiwanese Women and Their Annoying Mutual Fetishization" related to the OP's ideas. Hopefully it will be reposted. I checked for an accompanying thread but I guess we kept comments on the article page. Anyhow, I'll link to it when it reappears.

Just for the record, with respect to point 2, I think dyed hair and colored contacts on locals look plain freaky. I would also posit a guess that those who follow such trends (here in Taiwan at least) are avid attendees of Cosplay conventions or perhaps dabbling in a punk aesthetic--to wit, just kids, not mature, confident women who know what they want. Not sure what it's like elsewhere in Asia though.

Patriot's describes himself as an "Azn man," dollars to donuts. As soon as you see these xenophobic rants on an expat forum, you can be fairly confident that its from a frustrated hate-filled ABC taking time out from on of his "AZN pride" websites to try to bait some old fat bald white men.
You get the exact same thing in Britain from the so-called white pride sites -- "flibbidyflap' Asians/blacks/Pakis/Pikeys/Kosovans/Afghans/your choice of "different" here coming over here, taking our jobs, taking our women, increasing crime, never wash themselves, spongers, don't want to work, blah blah blah."
Sheer racist ignorance, in other words.

They don't always feature white people in Taiwan. It depends on the product. The rule of thumb is white people are for foreign products. They use white people to try and show what 'the rest of the world' is using, or what it recommends. People here associate white people with more developed countries, so when it comes to advertising, then 'more developed' is the image they are trying to offer. Fashion is largely European based too, so again white models are often used for emphasis.
If you haven't noticed, they use Japanese looking models for some electrical products and certain Japanese cars. People associate Japan with the highest of electrics standards.

Jeez. If people didn't think much of anywhere else and other people, there would never be need to go on holidays.

Taiwanese can suffer from inferiority complex and its the reason they welcome white foreigners so much generally. Taiwan is a downtrodden island though, and has been throughout history. Taiwanese view Europe and America as a success, with successful people and successful products that are often more developed than their own. We have more successful fashion, art, politics, you can pretty much name it. A lot of what Taiwan has is from the west, so it goes without saying that they are often grateful and appreciative. They admire achievement, and respect social services and values of the west and they show it. I don't think though that most Taiwanese people consider themselves as not as good, they just consider their island that way in terms of developement.

White people here come without any baggage especially regarding their staus in their own society. We can lie, make big of ourselves, take advantage of others that are more courteous than we are and so forth. It is easy to make oneself appear more attractive than we are considered back home.

Taiwanese cannot be blamed for thinking too much of us whities, as they are bombarded with ads as you have pointed out, all showing how we dress in suits and pretty skirts, drive around in Mercs and have fancy holidays all year round, retire with no money worries, have pretty children and so forth.

I promise if we saw the same image of Taiwanese back home, we would be over here in drives all coming to sample the local life. It just so happens though that they are not as developed.

It takes two to tango though and ugly fat white guys who don't stand chances of their own may have inferiority complexes of their own, which is possibly why they go abroad to find hope.

There is another possibilty too. Perhaps these people don't care about each other's looks so much and simply like each other a lot for who they are. There's a lot to be learned from each other's cultures and this can be a point of attraction. Something shiny, something new. This is precicely the reason I haven't settled down with a girl from Newcastle. It's also why my wife likes me. We are both very different from the types we find in our own cultures.
My wife is short and ten years older than me. I am nowhere near as intelligent as she is when it comes to business and people skills. This could make us look like a bit looserish, but the fact is we both make up for each other's losses. I think all the best relationships are this way.

I can't look at a couple now I'm more mature and think "why?" I accept that there are a million possibilities and reasons for two people being together and its not for me to judge. I can only tell if they're happy or not though, and often it seems that's the case.

So what's your problem exactly?
